Mission Statement
VAPW is committed to providing resources and information to assist Vietnamese American Postal Workers on the jobs, but not limited to. VAPW is a non-profit and non-political organization. Our mission is to bring all Vietnamese American Postal Workers together as a team, the talents and interests of the VAPW. In addition, we want to create a social, educational, and professional environment where all the members can enjoy a most valuable experience in the Postal Service. The purpose of the organization is to provide a communication channel for the Vietnamese American Postal Workers in the USA.VAPW wants to provide an opportunity where the members can support one another within the Postal Service and among the VAPW alliance network in terms of educational and careers.

VAPW Constitution
The organization shall be known as Vietnamese American Postal Workers, hereafter VAPW.

Membership
Membership in this organization shall be open to all Vietnamese American Postal Workers in USA regardless their position in good standing with the US Postal Service.
Any Vietnamese American Postal Workers wishing to become a VAPW Member may do so at any time and will become a member by providing VAPW with a completed membership form (available on our website). All information is kept confidential.

VAPW Membership Rights
All VAPW Members are given voting rights, leadership opportunities, career advising, access to resources that VAPW compiles, and when applicable, receive newsletter from the organization.
 Expectations of Members
All VAPW Members are expected to uphold the integrity of the Vietnamese American Postal Workers Organization and the spirit of its purpose.

Member Termination
Any member may be terminated if s/he is found in repeated violation of the constitution, guilty of unethical conduct or misrepresentation of the Vietnamese American Postal Workers Organization.

Board Member Termination Process
Any board member resignation must be initiated by a letter to the VAPW board and the agreement of seven officers. A written resignation must be filed to the VAPW board and all members will be informed. At the next meeting, the board member in question will have an opportunity to be heard and then a two-third-majority vote of those present at the meeting will determine if the board member in question will accepted the resignation. It will be the first thing on the agenda and no other business can be conducted until this vote has been taken.

President
The President shall be the chief executive administrative officer of VAPW. S/he is responsible for overseeing the success of the organization. S/he shall ensure that all VAPW officers perform the duties of their respective offices, and shall be responsible for the welfare and the dignity of VAPW. Presides at all meetings.
- Prepares the agenda for meetings.
- Acts as the main VAPW Advisor liaison.
- Supervises, directs and controls activities and affairs of VAPW.
- Delegates responsibilities to maintain the stability of VAPW.
- Acts as the spokesperson and primary person of contact for VAPW.
- Oversees elections (if not running for a position him/herself).

Secretary
The Secretary shall be the chief reporter and correspondent of VAPW. S/he shall keep a true record of all matters pertaining to VAPW and shall certify thereto when necessary.
- Keeps minutes of all meetings.
- Must post meeting minutes no later than three (3) days after each meeting on website, through e-mail, and as a hardcopy designated for VAPW use.
- Will assist the President in preparing meeting agendas.
- Maintains member contact information/records.
- Shall notify members of meetings unless otherwise specified.

Treasurer
The Treasurer shall be the chief financial officer of VAPW. S/he shall have the charge of all VAPW funds and the collection and disbursement thereof. The Treasurer shall maintain adequate and correct books and accounts of the transactions of VAPW. The books are open to inspection by any Board Member at all reasonable times. All requests for VAPW money must be co-signed by the Treasurer and the Secretary.
- Presents financial update at meetings or when requested.
- Keeps a chronological order of monies received and disbursed.
- Takes care of all expenditure/reimbursement forms.
- Oversees the drafting and submitting of annual budget of VAPW.

Internal Vice-President
Communication channel between VAPW Members. In charge of VAPW's membership Assumes the role of the President at meetings and function in the President's absence. Takes over the secretary's duties in h/his absence.
External Vice-President
VAPW's spokesperson. Communicates with other organizations such as Vietnamese community, newspaper, radio and television and other groups. Promotes VAPW externally. Acts as the main publicity liaison. Assists the President in heading and assigning all committees.

Advisors
The VAPW advisors will act as senior advisors for all VAPW activities. They will be attend meetings and participate in events. S/he will be responsible for all publicity events and promotional activities, while ensuring successful member recruitment throughout the year by promoting and encouraging VAPW membership. S/he shall assist the Board in the performance of fundraising, events, training and all activities for the VAPW. To supervise activities and welcome new VAPW members.
Amendments
Any amendments to the Constitution shall be adopted by a majority vote. A written proposed amendment shall have been given at least two weeks prior to a meeting, voting by proxy. All such amendments shall become effective immediately, pending VAPW.
